Joe’s Pies will soon be available in the U.S. and Canada, with a Canadian store opening this month.
The chain is a subsidiary of U.K.-based Joe’s Holdings Ltd.
Joe’s has been offering snacks and frozen treats in stores across the U, but this is the first time the food will be sold outside the U., a company spokesman told CNNMoney.
There are currently no plans for the U of T store to open in the coming weeks, but Joe’s said it is working with the U’s food and nutrition services department.
“The U of Toronto is the ideal location for the first store to be opened in Canada and the first to be open in Mexico,” said the spokesman, Mark Stinson.
He added that the U-pick is a local product, and there will be no sales of frozen Joe’s snack items to the public in Canada.
In Mexico, there are a number of other popular brands of frozen snacks, including Joe’s Super Bowl Snacks, Joe’s Big Mac Snacks and Joe’s Macarons.
But most people who want to get their hands on Joe’s are looking for the company’s frozen treats.
A spokeswoman for the chain told CNN that it does not want to lose its “speciality” in snacks, and that it is happy to offer the snack in the United States.
At the moment, the store is in the process of closing down for renovations.
Stinson said the company has been “very busy” in Canada since it began selling Joe’s products there, with more than 400 stores now selling the snacks.
Joes has more than 70 stores across Canada, including in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and the US.
