A new line of snacks is coming to grocery stores this summer: snacks that include milk, butter, cream, cheese and more.
The new line is called Dairy Milk Chocolate and comes in flavors like Chocolate-Chocolate and White Chocolate, which come in 12-ounce, 16-ounce and 20-ounce containers.
It’s part of a trend to get more consumers to buy dairy products and dairy-free products, said Dan Moulton, chief executive of Whole Foods Market in San Francisco.
He said it is a trend he thinks will continue as the dairy industry matures.
“The dairy industry has been able to keep its cost competitive and its quality high,” Moulonsaid.
“But there is a new breed of dairy products coming out, and we have a lot of opportunities to grow.”
Milk is the No. 1 ingredient in most dairy products.
It has become a staple in American diet, making up more than half of all dairy consumption.
Milk also comes in many forms, including whole milk and skim milk.
The most common types are whole milk, skim, yogurt, whey and semisweet.
But other forms are available.
